Take Action for Public Lands

California Senator Alex Padilla introduced legislation, co-sponsored by Senator Dianne Feinstein, that will permanently safeguard over 1 million acres of public lands and more than 500 miles of rivers in Northwest California, along the Central Coast, and in the Los Angeles region. Protecting these landscapes will improve equitable access to nature across the state and help address the climate crisis by reducing oil drilling and carbon emissions on public lands. This critical legislation will also support the outdoor recreation industry as a key part of California’s economy.
